How QR Codes Turned Direct Mail into a Digital Gateway

Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) is a great way to support a company's marketing efforts. Homeland Plumbing and Heating is a well-established company in the Colorado Springs, CO area with a history dating back to 1993.
In a digital era where online marketing is overcrowded with cost per click averaging several dollars in some industries, postcards are relatively more cost-efficient and get directly in front of potential clients' eyes.
The company was recently acquired by another locally renowned construction company, Bob McGrath, so they wanted to reintroduce the company to residents of specific areas in Colorado Springs to inform them about the recent acquisition and the vast range of services they offer.
After brainstorming the content for the postcard, we decided to add a coupon and a QR code that links to Homeland's website contact page for scheduling appointments. QR codes are a great way to bridge the gap between printed products and, in this case, a company website.
Producing postcards for EDDM is a smooth and hassle-free process, and Stampdt handles everything from the print-ready file to the time the postcards are delivered to the local post office. The client also receives a small package with samples to keep for their records.
The EDDM project was just the first of many projects Stampdt had the opportunity to collaborate on with Homeland. Being able to offer comprehensive services including consultancy and campaign planning has opened the door to several new projects, including magazine ads and local digital marketing.
